Three Wheeled Buggies
If you're looking for a buggy run around in or a nifty stroller to tackle the neighborhood, three-wheeled buggies are great for mobility. Their compact 3 wheel stroller design allows them to be maneuvered easily, even in tight spaces.
For a smooth ride, go for a pram that has air-filled tyres. Also, look for models with an swivel wheel that rotates 360 degrees in front. However, they are susceptible to punctures, so be prepared with a repair kit.
Sturdy frame
New figures show that the three-wheeled buggies, that symbol of the decade that had more money than common sense, are in steep decline. They have been replaced by four-wheelers that can be more versatile in terrain, while also looking swanky and being easy to push.
The bigger the wheels are, the better your buggy will cope with uneven surfaces and bumpy pavements. The larger wheels both rear and front enable you to move and more stable when walking downhill or over difficult terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy out with a newborn and a 3 wheel pushchair year old and found it coped well with grass, cobbles rough roads, dirt tracks, and kerbs. Kath said it felt sturdy to push, and very stable on difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable and require occasionally pumping) come with suspension built-in which was extremely comfortable for my children.
The shape and size of the seat is another thing to think about. The seat should be big enough for your child to be comfortable and allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer a lie-flat option that lets your child face you, while other buggies only permit a parent-facing option.
The Roma Atlas is a great alternative for off-road or wet walks. This buggy is ideal for a single child as early as birth and can be modified to accommodate two children as your family grows. It is suitable for infants and toddlers from birth to age 4. It includes a bumper with a rain cover, an upgraded 5-point harness, and a large cushioned seat. The storage options are good as well, with a decent-sized basket, zip pockets on the hood, and an easy-to-access pouch on the back of the seat unit.
Larger wheels
Larger wheels give your buggy more stability while driving on rough terrain. This is ideal for off-road buggies. They also help you maneuver the pushchair in tight spaces. Some three-3 wheeled pushchairs buggies come with rotating wheels on the front, which help you navigate tight corners. Others are designed for running and have fixed wheels that lock for greater speed and stability. This is especially useful when you bump against trees or a kerb. The front wheel can be lifted slightly to prevent hitting it.
Many 3 wheel pushchair sale wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres which allow them to handle a wide range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They're also lighter. However, they're prone to punctures so you'll need an repair kit, spare tube and pump handy.
Our top three-wheelers include the Mountain Buggy Core and Venicci Carbo Lux. According to MFM's Kath, have larger wheels, which according to her "perform well on gravel roads, grass and market town cobbles" and are able to climb or descend kerbs. The buggies also come with a suspension that according to Kath "smooths out bumps very effectively".
Buggies with larger wheels can be quite wide, and they may be a challenge to fit into tight spaces. This is a problem if you're using it as a jogger or to maneuver through doors that are narrow when out and out and about. The majority of models come with small folding options that permit you to take off the front wheels and store them more compactly.
Easy to manoeuvre
A three-wheel buggy can be more comfortable to drive with children. They are designed so that the front wheels can turn on a dime, and are easy to maneuver, making them perfect for challenging terrain such as parks, cobblestones, bumpy roads, and dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried an all-wheeler with her toddler, and she wrote: "The Terrain is a joy to maneuver on rough terrain. The front swivel wheel was particularly helpful." I was also impressed with how well it dealt with bumps, particularly when using the hand-operated brake. I found it to be extremely stable when driving downhill or over uneven ground."
The only downside of this incredible mobility is that the 3 Wheeled Pushchair wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean that it can struggle in tight spaces, something to be aware of if you live in a city area. If this is an issue, a 4-wheeled buggy may be a better option for you.

Kath the MFM reviewer, also loved the space of the buggy. There's a easily accessible, large basket that is surprising spacious for a vehicle of this size. Plus, there's also a handy pouch on the back of the unit, as well as two smaller mesh pockets beneath the hood, where you can keep your keys and phone.
