Top Rated Robot Vacuums
A robot vacuum will keep your floors tidy enough to cut down on the frequency of hoovering manually. Find one that has excellent navigation, is able to clean stairs and corners and has a huge dust bin that requires emptying only every few times.
There are models that mop and charge themselves This is an advantage important for families with pets or children. Many of the best home vacuum cleaner performers in our tests have good obstacles to avoid.
1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling i3 EVO. They differ only in the fact that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a good option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the dustbin of the buy robot vacuum cleaner when it is full.
Both robots do well cleaning up surface debris from hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept in maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we evaluated the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features, so it may be stuck on things like socks or power cords and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces like hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends that you tidy up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or other clutter it might encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they don't become clogged with dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and empties the dirt into the station’s external dustbin. It then continues cleaning from where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use. It takes around three hours to fully recharge.
2. iRobot i7+ Roomba
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It is self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is its self-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your bagless robot vacuum with voice or through the app.
The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin that removes major maintenance sources and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. When connected, we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world filled with vacuums with cords that are like minivans and buses, this tiny Dyson model is an old-fashioned sports car. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households however, it can also fit in well next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, where you can wave it around like the magic wand.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system removes allergens, and then releases cleaner air back into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles that penetrate deep into carpets, and then pick up large crumbs or fine dust. It comes with three suction settings to match the task that is being completed. It quickly switches from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum, and then back to floor.
This model has a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100% in 3.5 hours. It also offers an easy access to two attachments as well as a wand. This is a significant improvement over older Dysons that require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.
The main issue with the V10 is its limited running time. The tests conducted by CR show that its claims to run up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is a standard, not exceptional, battery-powered vacuum's run time. This is still enough to vacuum the majority of an average-sized house but not long enough to clean every spot (though an additional run-through often does the trick). However, this model isn't a good choice It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming efficiency is better on low-pile carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
One of iRobot's most popular robot vacuums the 694 is a basic model that's an excellent choice for people who don't want to spend too much on a robotic. It's capable of sucking up a variety of kinds of debris in our tests, and it often passes over the same areas several times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front allows it to reach the corners and the edges of walls.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models like our top choices such as the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or low furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways in that it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin, and charges more quickly.
The sleek RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba. It also has physical boundaries strips and can be controlled with the voice assistant on your smartphone. It is also more robust, has a larger motor, and performs better on floors with bare or low-pile.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

The app provides plenty of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior adjustments docking frequency settings and much more. It's simple to comprehend and user-friendly, as is the case with other Samsung devices.
In our tests our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) very well, picking up 86 percent of it. However, it wasn't particularly well at avoiding taller objects like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we tested and could be a deal-breaker for certain shoppers.
The app allows you to access the onboard camera of the smart vacuum. You can also create live streaming from the robot's cleaning area. This feature lets you monitor your pets or the kids if you're away from home. The filter and dustbin can be washed for quick, painless cleanup. The Jet Bot AI+ also has a clean station that's self-emptying to keep the robot's trash bin clean and optimizes suction power for each cleaning.
6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum
Unlike other robotic vacuums, that are specifically designed for hard floors and carpets, Black and Decker robots are specifically designed for hard floors. They feature an extra-wide cleaning path as well as a large dustbin that holds 2X more debris than other models to keep the cleaning robots for home area clean for the longest time. They also have two side sweepers to clean along edges and corners. You can also monitor the status of the vacuum and then send it to its dock for charging with the touch of a single button. The app allows you to modify the LEDs on the top of the vacuum so that you can discern where it is focusing or if it's stuck.
The application also allows you to manually steer the robot in the event of need. For instance, my living room rug has a darkly colored border that tends to trip up some of the other robots I've tried. The HRV 425BL, however was able to continue to move across the border without ever registering the high point. Also, the ability to program a weekly cleaning schedule is a wonderful time-saving benefit.
