It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people well during our tests. It also doesn't come with cameras that let it see the corners of a room.

It's still a good value, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and can be used while you're at work or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. If you're required to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with an awe-inspiring one in a matter of seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient in taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also comes with a powerful suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the best robotic cleaner and mop hoover for carpets, however it isn't as effective as some of its competitors when it comes to deep cleaning.

It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba rather than the compact models This mop and robot vacuum is among the most appealing looking in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station and boasts an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It has an easy mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work or during the night when you're trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing with a little more noise and some additional cost it's a efficient two-in-one device that should delight most.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot hoover and mop mop and vacuum. It has a range of features that are advanced and will help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take the care of mopping and vacuuming. It also comes with a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on how dirty the areas tend to be.

If you have a larger home, you should consider selecting a robot vacuums uk that comes with the option of cleaning zones or spots. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice control. If you have lots of furniture, a stairway mode is also a good option. It also has an app that's not as intuitive and has a tiny base station that can't double as a bin for emptying.
