Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos
The Narwal Freo X Ultra is one of the best automatic vacuum cleaner robot vacuums and mops I've tested. Its base station features an enormous dustbin and water tank, and its dual rubber brushes are less prone to hair tangles than single bristles.
Its mopping performance excels and its AI mapping is a success in the midst of obstacles. It also has the ability to pause its cleaning job and resume where it was when it stopped.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most sophisticated 2-in-1 mop and robot vacuum cleaners available on the market today. It comes with a sleek self-emptying Clean Base that can hold up to two mopping cycles at a time and is even designed to look like a small table. It is also the only robot we tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and replenishes the cleaning pads after each mopping or vacuum cycle.
The mopping arm is placed on the top of the unit until it detects hard floors, and then it lowers to begin scrubs. It is able to move slowly and with care over surfaces to make sure it doesn't accidentally smear wet mud or spills across carpeted areas. It does a great job of keeping itself away from furniture, cords and other obstacles.
It's smarter than most robot vacuums due to the iRobot Home app, which allows you to customize your cleaning settings and prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, set schedules and cleaning times and much more. The app also provides detailed maps of your home, seasonal tips, custom cleaning routines, and a variety of smart-home integrations that are easy to use.
This combination robot vac and mop utilizes iRobot's Imprint Smart Mapping technology to recognize objects, such as counters, sofas, and tables. It can be controlled using Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, making it easy to keep your home clean.
The Roomba J9+ unlike other vacuums and mopping robotics, creates an outline of your home 7 times faster than the previous models. It also categorizes each area according to floor type to ensure that it can be aware of the area you want to mop or vacuum. It also features the Turbo Mode which increases suction for areas that are difficult to reach. With iRobot's Dirt Detective software, it will learn your cleaning habits and preferences to automatically adjust cleaning priorities and settings, including mop scrubbing movements, for the most soiled areas of your home.
2. Yeedi M12 Pro+
The Yeedi M12 Pro+, with its user-friendly interface and top-quality features, is a strong rival in the world of automated vacuum and mop robots. Its suction power is powerful and innovative mopping technologies make it the perfect cleaner for smart homes. Its intelligent automation and affordable price make it an excellent choice for households that are on a budget.
Download and open the Yeedi App and follow the instructions on the screen to connect the M12 to your Wi-Fi Network. After connecting, the app will ask you to create a unique name for your new robot vacuum and mop. The M12 only works with 2.4GHz networks.
The M12 offers a variety of cleaning options, such as vacuuming and mopping. Its clever design allows the M12 to identify a space within six minutes and adjust its cleaning path in accordance with the map. Its advanced mopping functionality includes two spinning pads, with electronically controlled water and a "True Edge Adaptive Edge Mopping System" that ensures thorough cleaning of all floor edges.
In terms of navigation, the M12 uses LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors do a good job of detecting larger objects, such as HVAC vents and furniture. They may struggle to find smaller objects like cables or small rags. This could cause the robots to miss spots.
The M12's built-in inclinometer enables it to recognize and navigate up and down stairs. It also returns automatically to its OMNI Station to wash and dry mop brushes and to refill its water tank. When its batteries run low the OMNI station can also automatically empty the bin of dust and clean itself.
3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the cutting-edge in robot cleaning, packing a staggering quantity of features in an attractive package. It comes with the largest mopping capacity, a camera for enhanced obstacles to avoid, and a powerful vacuum with the ability to sense when it's sweeping over carpets. It also comes with advanced technology and voice assistant features.
It is a great mop and vacuum, completing our 1,500-square-foot test area in just 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. The mop is washed between uses, a feature that reduces maintenance costs and keeps its pads clean. Additionally, there is a dock sensor that senses when the mop pad is dirty and triggers a wash cycle to keep it clean.
The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors, features an intelligent system which can detect household items like shoes and pet waste using the combination of a camera and LIDAR. It was a great performer in our obstacle avoidance evaluation and had only one issue during my testing (it was stuck when unwinding a wool ball that was wrapped around its brush arm).
The S8 MaxV Ultra features a suction capacity of 10,000pa, which is more than two times as powerful as its predecessor. This makes it a great choice for homes that have lots of carpet and a variety of flooring types. The vacuum can be set to automatically increase suction as it passes over crumbs or dust.
Similar to previous models, there are docking stations that can be placed in different rooms to help make it easier to clean and mopping. It is also possible to connect to your home plumbing with a specialized dock that drains and refills the water tank automatically when it's done.
4. Dreametech X40 Ultra
The Dreame X40 Ultra robot hoover and mop vacuum and mop is the company's latest flagship model. It has a few unique features that its cheaper models don't. It is a powerful suction system and can mop floors effortlessly. It comes with a variety of advanced features, including an auto vacuum and mop-extending mop head and self-detangling rollers for brush. The X40 Ultra also offers automatic hoover self-cleaning of its base station and dust collection filter. The mop pads are automatically cleaned in hot water, and then drained and the drained water tank is automatically emptied after every cleaning session.
It comes with advanced options for modifying the cleaning schedule, such as selecting a specific time to start and end each cycle or selecting whether it should vacuum carpets before mopping. It can also be told to re-clean areas that are particularly filthy and choose to boost its suction power around cat litter boxes and pet food bowls. The X40 Ultra is programmable to perform specific tasks, like cleaning a bathroom toilet or kitchen sink. It can be programmed to automatically lift the front side brush whenever it detects wet spots, and to clean up debris from corners and baseboards.
The X40 Ultra is easy to set up and use it, with an easy-to-use and user-friendly application and a variety of features. It is quieter than other corded vacuums. The only sounds are the occasional low hum of its motor, and the occasional bursts of sucking during cleaning. Its navigation system, which utilizes cameras, 3D structured lights, multiple lasers and a 3D structured light to identify and avoid obstructions it is awe-inspiring. This assists in helping the X40 Ultra receive one of the top scores in our assessments of obstacle avoidance.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro has been designed as a powerful vacuum and mop combo that is also user-friendly. The gunmetal base station automatically fills up its own tank with clean water, emptying the dustbin into a smaller bin and washes and dries its own mop pads during cleaning sessions. It also has a sophisticated feature set that allows it to switch between hard and rugs and effectively remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, and clear raised room thresholds.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping capabilities, thanks to its internal dToF system. It is able to maintain the appearance of a low-profile, while offering excellent object detection. It can be driven close to walls without crashing and avoiding steps, and it also automatically raises its mop when it drives over rugs and short-pile carpets. However, it did struggle with carpets with a longer pile and also several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to start right from the moment you purchase it, and it only needs an easy mapping session to learn about your home. After that, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined depending on the need. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want your robot to touch.
The S1 Pro is a great option for homes with both types of flooring, because it can mop and vacuum. However, its reliance on a Eufy-branded cleaning product (which is included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that let you build your own solutions. Its ability to vacuum and mop is a great option for homes with floors of both types. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box), can make it less versatile than other robots which permit you to include your own cleaning solutions.
