Robots That autonomous vacuum and Mop
Robots that automatic vacuum cleaner and mop and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide will have you running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum mop cleaner robot has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only issue is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal precisely what the robot has completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that displays the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time, with the mop able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum mop cleaner robot. It's not like the model from last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It then can alter its course automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular style is striking and has just three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It comes with a mop that is high quality that cleans hard floors without the use of pads. Additionally, the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture with low profile, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or separately. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, change modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There are a lot of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
