Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling different types of floors. Look for models that allow you to choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to automatically empty, and clean up stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an application that lets you save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of floors and rooms.
When I tested the S1, Autonomous Vacuum it was quick to locate our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues getting down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and swung up when it came to carpets or rugs.
Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills its water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. For this, you'll need to clean the water tank that is dirty regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. However, overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuums with mop vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot cleaner with mop are impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just moving a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.
This robot has a simple interface that guides you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum which can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. It also has a range of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it does sometimes get hung up on the small area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary within the application). The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure that an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble that can navigate small spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one room to another without reversing direction it is a useful feature for homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a large margin around obstacles. This can result in missing spots.
The app features a simple, intuitive interface that should be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to plan and manage cleanings, change the suction power and mopping settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and much more. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for real-time video monitoring. You'll need a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
Robot vacuums are fantastic at picking up dirt and debris but they're not able to get every speck of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once a week, especially to clean dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is designed to do just that. It is easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's cheaper since it doesn't come with mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to wipe your floors, the Q5 offers the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart application which allows you to schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also features an automatic hoover water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.
Its mops also impress with its 2700Pa power to tackle dirt and pet hair, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested did not show issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising, since it does NOT include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested, it also utilizes a unique system to map your home. This really helps it get into corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also collects dust in a larger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot is able to detect carpets and increase suction when needed. The app also lets you to mark off areas that you want it to stay clear of, which is a nice feature.
