Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to get a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's best robot vacuum black friday-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. This uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, so you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot cleaner we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
The design is also more appealing than the competition. It features an elegant, top robot vacuum cleaner piece that appears like toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand which other robots couldn't do. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.
The j7+, though not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an option for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it doesn't have certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like tables and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area which many robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also features an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for the majority of people, however it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market however it's quite expensive.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require this.
And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's one of the few robovacs I've tried that does a really good job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means that it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper and has many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and is more effective on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30, however, is more affordable and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
