Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers can be a great option for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of tasks. They have impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic vacuum and mop vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best automatic vacuum navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful in narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't create as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and performs well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.

Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the amount of suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

The device has a expensive price, but has a variety of advanced features. However, it's important to remember that it carries periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. These include the power button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two components that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes microfiber pads. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best robotic mop and vacuum feature was its precise floorplan, which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture the majority of hair that our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was beginning or finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to change the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning job, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic vacuum and mop emptying process. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy units.
