The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to cross mopping off the to-do list. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum Cleaner - www.thehomeautomationhub.Com, that can also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.
It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt as well as pet hair and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however, it's something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be dried and washed to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.
Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will affect how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.
This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it is packed with a wide array of smart features. It is important to remember, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads must be changed every one to three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. It has an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after completing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best robot vacuum that mops feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to capture many of the hair that shed by our cats, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots have struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some pleasant jingles to let you know that it was starting and getting its work done.
The app was too simple and you had to change the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base has a few control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic vacuum and mop emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxy models.
