The best robot vacuum and mop Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum mop cleaner robot cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.
It's efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however it's something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and also identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively rapid.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent build-up and reduce odors.
Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device is expensive but has many smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. These include an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot vacuum uk is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which has an elastomer pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able to capture many of the hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that signalled when it was starting or finishing its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot vacuum cleaner that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
