It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel. It's easy to operate even with one hand. It's also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.
Our testers were impressed by the ease of access offered by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one push of a switch. This was especially helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach in and pick their baby up without waking them up.
The side panel can be lowered on its own however it isn't advised as it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism guarantees that it will only remain in place if it is connected to the bed of the parent correctly. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers, but it can still be easily moved from one room to another. It's also foldable into a bag for travel bedside crib, which is ideal if you want to transport it. The only issue our testers found was that the side panel didn't flex as much as the other models, which made it difficult to see your baby from your bed.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to start. It took us around an hour to construct and was surprisingly simple. The only drawback was the lack of written captions on a few images which made it difficult to follow some of the steps. However, overall it was an easy procedure and the quality of the materials used was high.
In co-sleeping mode we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a c-section because it lets them comfortably reach out to their infant to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed.
