Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those looking to take mopping off their to-do list. Some models have superior mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic Vacuum cleaner (intensedebate.com) that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through an efficient.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and performs well however, this is something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums best vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will result in a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach a wide range of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards, and other difficult-to-access spots. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. However, it's important to remember that it carries periodic expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every three month.

The robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum best vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' and a 'Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot hoover and mop vacuum and mop which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that includes microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able capture many of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were nice jingles to let you know that it was beginning and finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the need to change between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum mop cleaner robot that mops in our test, but it also has distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy units.
