The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It is smaller than other models, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best robot cleaner navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home, find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and effectively. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it will make, which will affect how fast the device will move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to note that it incurs regular expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every three months.

This robot hoover and mop auto vacuum and mop that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot vacuum that vacuums and mops is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to keep certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able capture a lot of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were pleasant jingles to signal that it was beginning and getting its work done.

Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app cannot keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot vacuum with mop that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base comes with a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgThe X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy models.
