Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are great for walking around the neighborhood or for jogging. Their compact design makes them easy to manoeuvre, even in tight spaces.

For a smooth ride, go for a pram fitted with air-filled tyres and look for models with a 360deg front swivel wheel. They are prone, however, to punctures. Be prepared with an emergency repair kit.

Frame made of sturdy material

New data show that three-wheeled buggies that were the symbol of the decade that had more money than common sense, are in rapid decline. Four-wheelers are replacing them, and are more versatile and easier to drive, while also looking elegant.

The bigger the wheels are, the more your buggy will be able to deal with bumpy and uneven pavements. The larger wheels on both the front and back also makes it easier to manoeuvre and more stable when walking downhill or on difficult terrain.

Kath wrote "it feels sturdy to push and very solid when you're on rough terrain. The tyres, that are inflatable and need to be pumped regularly, have built-in suspension. This was very comfortable for my kids.

They also have a suspension system which in her words "smoothes out bumps with great efficiency".

The downside of having larger wheels is that they can make some buggies quite broad and can struggle to fit through narrow spaces. This is an issue if you're using it as a jogger or to to get through doorways that are narrow when you're out and about. Fortunately, many models come with compact folding options that let you take off the front wheels to create more compact storage.

Easy to Manoeuvre

One of the major advantages to a three wheel buggy is that it's much more maneuverable particularly with a child on the way. They are designed to ensure that the front wheels turn on a dime, and are easy to maneuver, making them perfect for challenging terrain such as cobblestones, parks and bumpy roads. dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tested a 3 wheel pushchairs wheeler with her infant and toddler and said: "The Terrain was a pleasure to maneuver over tough ground, with the swivel front wheel being especially helpful. I was also impressed with how well it dealt with the kerbs, particularly when using the hand-operated brake. I found it to be extremely stable when driving downhill or on uneven ground."

The only downside of this amazing mobility is that the 3 wheeler pushchair wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean it has to struggle in tight spaces - something to keep in mind if you live in a urban region. If this is a concern then a 4-wheel buggy may be better for you.
