The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best robot vacuum cleaner and mop navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum cleaner vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.
It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease away debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and is effective, but this is something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean and is also quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach places. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction and select between a back-and-forth or slightly more randomized pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.
This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It's crucial to keep in mind that it has periodic expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or just want a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot vacuum reviews is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some nice jingles that let you know when it was starting or finished its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the necessity to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.
The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets caught in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its application.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
