This is a huge benefit for those who desire a hassle-free hands-free automation. It can be frustrating for those who like to alter settings and select their own brew's size or strength. The X7.1 is not only an outstanding model in terms of its brewing capabilities, but also for other features. There's no milk cup or steam wand, but you can add hot or cold milk to your coffee however you'd like.

The great thing about this machine is that it's made to work with Grind's own recyclable, plastic-free and compostable coffee pods. This means you're not only cutting down on your coffee waste (which can take hundreds of years to degrade) but the pods themselves don't contain plastic and are completely organic. They cost about 50p each and you can dump them in your food waste bin or garden compost after they're empty.

The Grind One is PS275, and you can buy a bundle with a milk frother to it for an additional PS325. It is more expensive than most Nespresso pod machines, but it's stylish, well-designed and versatile machine. It's also the smallest of the bunch, which means it doesn't require enough countertop space, and it comes with a raised drip tray that connects to a series of notches alongside the waste bin to allow height adjustment.

4. Grind 2

If you're looking for a quick and simple cup of coffee, this machine eliminates the hassle of making espresso. It can brew either a short shot or a longer shot, with three different extraction settings and temperatures. Its ability to make a great espresso impressed our coffee lovers. Its crema (which should be a cosy chestnut color that lasts until the last sip) and temperature were right on. You can programme the size of your cup to match your mood and there's an option to add the temperature to increase to push your brew through at the press of a button. You can also keep track with the maintenance schedule by receiving notifications when the capsule bin is empty or the water tank requires to be topped off.

The machine doesn't do any frost, but you can make cappuccinos and flat whites with a separate milk container. A lot of buyers have left favorable reviews on Amazon and John Lewis. They praise the quiet operation and flexibility of the machine, including different lengths of brews and a good capacity for used capsules.

There aren't a lot of customer reviews but the general consensus is that it's an excellent pod coffee machine if you like simple setup. It's more expensive than the Nespresso Vertuo Pop but comes with the best coffee machine pod (Maps.google.com.lb) Lavazza pods. It's also one of the quietest machines available.
