If you've ever wanted to get a robot vacuum, now is the time. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot cleaner to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal It also self-empties which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel which other robots aren't able to do. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it cannot clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update is working until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner sale vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best home vacuum cleaner choice is probably a hybrid. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it lacks certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper Robot Vac vacuums fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missed corners and on walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas or modify your home map or re-label rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it is done with relative ease. It also comes with an impressive LCD display which is great to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and functionality are among the most advanced available however it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks beautiful and can be hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices on the market, including a lot of eufy models for considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brush, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an outlet for power and ample space to allow it to move around but.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

beginners-guide-to-smart-mapping-robot-vacuum-cleaners-medium.jpgThe way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses an integrated map to create an image of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.

The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30, however is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
