You may also want to think about a reusable coffee filter that can be used with capsules that can be reused. A thermometer or water kettle to control temperature precisely is a great option.

Although the Bruvi brewer is more than Keurig or Nespresso but it is a great device all around that feels like a dawning of a new era in pod coffee.

When you are buying a coffee pod machine the size of the serving is a key aspect to take into consideration. Certain models allow single-serve cups that come in a wide variety of sizes, from giant travel mugs down to 2-ounce espresso shots. Some machines can make whole pots of coffee. Some models even come with milk frothers to make the creamy cappuccino, latte or Latte.

Another factor to take into consideration is the design of a pod coffee maker. This is the best cappuccino machine-looking machine we have tested. It also makes a great tasting brew - especially for an automatic. The only reason we didn't give it the top spot is because of its limited milk-frothing capabilities - the only option is to use dried skimmed milk capsules which don't taste like fresh-squeezed milk. If it had a built-in milk frother then we'd consider this pod machine to be the top spot.
