robots that vacuum and mop (recent post by valetinowiki.racing)
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
You can, for example ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has done, where it is moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station has a handy LCD screen that indicates the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand although we would like to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot vacuum cleaners uk I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum cleaner vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mowing capabilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best automatic vacuum and mop alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry debris, including pet hair and crumbs. It comes with a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice touch that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available however, it comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's a wealth of settings available which include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
