The best robot vacuum and mop robot vacuums and mops I tested had great navigation and mapping. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as wires that were strung up.

They're also simple to use using an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and track what they're doing.

1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and vacuum combination. It comes with the most recent features. This top-of-the-line vacuum is fast and agile and picked up pet hair and human dander almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It has a sleek app interface that comes with an interactive map of your home as well as buttons on the screen to allow manual control.

Another notable characteristic of the S8 is its ability to adjust its cleaning mode according to dirt levels, thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it comes across dust. Carpeted areas are given priority for mopping using mopping pads that are damp.

It's got a host of other innovative features as well, including a different dock that connects to your home plumbing to wash and clean the mop roller, without having refilling it manually. You can even make use of voice commands using the built-in voice assistant of the S8 that can be activated by saying "Hey Rocky" to specify room cleaning, modes, and granular controls using just your voice.

2. Yeedi Cube

If you're looking to buy a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities, the Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile options. It's one of many combo robot vacuums with mopping capabilities that are available at a lower cost than the competition.

Like most robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little amount of work to start, including setting up an account on the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've completed that, the machine will begin vacuuming and mopping effortlessly.

It's important to keep in mind that the mapping process may take some time, and the Yeedi Cube may need a few tries before it gets a good picture of your room. In addition, object detection can be hit or miss and it was able to get around furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a looser tassel and had to flip its back to release itself. But these are minor flaws, and the Yeedi Cube is still a ideal choice for those who need an all-in-one cleaner.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its mopping technology is advanced and features a rotating motion similar to hand scrubbing which results in floors that are genuinely cleaned, not just swept. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an innovative tool that can reach areas where robot cleaner vacuums cannot.

This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa, and a few additional smart features. The RGBD sensor upgrade is able to learn your home's environment and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The app's smart feature allows you to alter a variety of settings, including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.

The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging base at the end of each job to clean their pads and empty the dust bins, and put the debris in the self-sealing bag. This helps to keep the system clean and prevents allergens from circulating. The battery life is long enough to remove large areas without the need for a charge mid-clean.

4. Eufy S1 Pro

The Eufy S1 Pro is a premium robot vacuum and mop model that comes with impressive features at an affordable price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power and a rotating brush that is ideal for carpets and hard floors, and great obstacles-avoiding. It also features an innovative mopping technique which uses a rolling device that is continuously misting with water to capture dirt, and then dump it into the dirty water tank.

Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without falling. However, it did struggle with fine-grained debris and didn't always remove raised thresholds in rooms. The operating noise level is also quite high, and it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.

The S1 Pro, like most robotic cleaner and mop vacuums, is equipped with docking systems that allow it to replenish its clean water, empty the dust bin, wash and dry the mop, and empty its mop pad. This makes upkeep easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on regular schedules. You can manage all of its functions using the Eufy app. It provides an easy overview and lots of options for configuration.

5. Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot vacuums/mowers available, and offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with a decent accuracy, robot Vacuum Cleaner reviews and the application lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, define no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was specifically designed to prevent hair from wrapping itself around it. This is a major problem with many robotic vacuums.

The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is equipped with intelligent carpet detectors, which raise the pads when they're near soft surfaces to keep them from getting contaminated.

The docking station acts as an unmanned maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops, and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust over 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike conventional robot vacuums that empty their dust bins every time they have to be empty.

6. S10

This robot is just a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does an excellent job of keeping my office tidy. It can also reach all corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to build a map of your area which allows it to know where to stay away from. And, unlike many vacuums that have mopping capabilities it detects objects and obstructions that avoids things like dog toys and bowls (but not poop!).

Other great features include a self-emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching brush that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also set your own cleaning schedule in the app and customize the settings for each room in your home.

Like the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping that can differentiate between laminate, carpets and hardwood rugs with high-pile. If you're looking to save time, it will avoid mopping rooms that aren't soiled. If you have several types of flooring in your house and don't want to spend extra money on a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping capabilities, this is a great choice.

7. Q5 Pro

This robot is a great option if you are seeking a flexible robot that can perform regular maintenance as well as touch-ups to messy water stains. It comes with a variety of features like a self-emptying dustbin as well as a separate water refill dock, and customizable settings in the app. It's extremely quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. It can't pick knots in the rug, and its battery drains quicker than other models we've tried.

The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerhouse that provides powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it did very well. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode for light debris to the incredibly powerful 'Turbo mode' for carpeted areas. It also has the capability to automatically remove and reattach its mop pads without getting your carpets wet.

8. K10 Plus

The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for people who live in tiny spaces. It's quiet and quick, and it does a good job of maneuvering around tight spaces. It's also excellent in removing pet hair from carpeting.

It's smaller than its rivals however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has decent suction power and can be programmed to take photos of each object it chooses (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys) and mark them in the app as 'not located', so that they will not be taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and not linked to your account.

It's great at vacuuming, but not as great in mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot, and it essentially drags them around your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal with water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
