The best robot vacuum with mop hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and top-of-the-line features (such as a dirt detectors) are positives.

Make sure you regularly inspect your robot's brushes for tangled hair as well as large debris and wash them if needed. Some models will automatically empty their onboard dustbin into a larger bin at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have test. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the top model) they employ smart mapping to produce precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles such as cords and furniture leg. The robots also come with the feature of Carpet Boost that increases its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our tests on floors that are bare, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.

It's still a great deal for those whose office or home has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work when you're at work or school. The only thing it lacks that you won't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you need to change the mopping pad to a dry one in minutes.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a sleek, compact package. Its smart cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean and effective in tackling larger particles, like pet hair. It also has an impressive suction system and a self-emptying bin. It's the best robotic hoover for carpets but it's not as good as other hoovers when it comes to deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop utilizes sensor technology that can avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time to ensure cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app lets you modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average when compared to similar models.

It is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when it's in a room with carpet which prevents cross-contamination. The flex arm can be utilized to reach under low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same level of washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the quickest robot vacuum/mop that could sweep the entire house and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a great cleaning job on a variety of floors and rooms with different flooring types including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was top notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog turds, socks, shoes and cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming it, something we've not seen on other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

This mop and vacuum combination features a sleek, circular design that looks much like a Roomba model than the bulky models from the competition. It's among our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop to score an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's a noisy unit that could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that is very efficient however, it will cost you more and make more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It has a range of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take charge of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to draw out the floor plan and detect obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its more expensive competitors. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not 100% reliable in our tests and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on the amount of dirt they are.

If you have a larger home, it is worth choosing a model that has the option of cleaning zones or spots. This lets you instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned with the help of an app or voice command. A stair mode can be useful if you have a number of furniture. For families that are busy, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off can be very useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than its price suggests. It does a stellar job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad, which uses an oscillating motion that is cleaner than the other robot mop cleaners we've tested. It's also self-sufficient with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that is washable.

The well-designed iRobot app will guide you through a mapping session that collects data about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app also provides access to a host of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, meaning it can get to corners and underneath furniture more easily. It also has strong 8000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for hair of pets. You can also set up a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, however it is more likely to get stuck on low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums that we have tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that doesn't double as an emptying bin.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpg
