The best automatic vacuum Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuum cleaners reviews vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more random patterns. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to remember that the device is subject to regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The robot Vacuums that Mop vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or just want to have a clean home without spending hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum cleaners uk vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that is equipped with an elastomer pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan that it uses to create an outline for cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to collect many of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were pleasant jingles to signal that it was beginning and finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base has a few control buttons that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
