The best robot vacuum that mops robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and will leave your floors clean. Its surprisingly affordable price and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Make sure to check your robot's brushes regularly for tangled debris and hair. Wash them if needed. Some models also self-empty their onboard dust bin into a larger one at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've tested. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can generate up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. As with other premium iRobot models (including the top pick) they employ smart mapping technology to design detailed floor plans and avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also have the feature of Carpet Boost that increases its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our bare floor tests They're also particularly adept in cleaning pet hair. There are some issues however, which prevent them from being our top choice. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate rooms with lots of people well during our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good deal for those whose office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also quiet and works while you are at work or school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. If you're required to clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to sweep floors. Its smart cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean and effective in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuum for carpets, but it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance automatic vacuum cleaner and mop and mop utilizes sensors that help it stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time to provide cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.

You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and extend them when in a carpeted area which prevents cross-contamination. Its flex arm is perfect to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean an entire house, finishing with only 66 percent of its battery left. It also did a good job cleaning a range of rooms and floors with different flooring types, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was great, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, but it has superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically empties into its base, and also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming it, something we've not seen on other robot hoover and mop vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek, circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxes, this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive designs in our reviews. iRobot's latest flagship model also happens to be its smartest and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's also the only robot vacuum or mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with a simple mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work or at night when you are trying to sleep.

It's also a bit costly, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that's very capable however, it will cost you more and produce more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum and mop. It has a range of advanced features that help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take the care of mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of an array of LIDAR and structured light to map out floor plans and identify obstacles, making it more efficient than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time but this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home depending on the degree of dirt they tend to be.

If you own a larger home, it is worth selecting a robot that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This lets you instruct the robot vacuum cleaner on which part of your home needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice command. If you have lots of furniture, a stair mode is also useful. For families that are busy, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to resume where it left off could be very useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more sophisticated than its price suggests. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using a single pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the robot vacuums best mop cleaners that we've tried. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that can be washed.

The iRobot application is designed to guide you through the mapping process, which gathers information on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, arrange a spot clean or to prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it's more likely to be caught on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums that we have test. It also comes with an app that is less intuitive and has a tiny base station that can't double as a bin for emptying.
