Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers can be ideal for those looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It is smaller than other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like books and broken toys.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and works well, but this is something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and effectively. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.

Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

The device has a expensive price, but has a variety of advanced features. It is important to keep in mind that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. The robot hoover and mop vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan which it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was quiet and even had some nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which could be a hassle when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuums with mop vacuum that can be found in our test, but it also has unique features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that serves as an charging base for the robot vacuum that mops, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets caught in an obstacle like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuums uk thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxes.
