Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday robot vacuum cleaner comparison Vacuum Deals

If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart vacuum mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot vacuum cleaner best buy to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

Its design is superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base automatic floor vacuum Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, though not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it cannot clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know whether the update actually working until you see it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best auto vacuum choice is probably hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area which many robot vacuums often fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas and modify your home map or change the room's label.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it is done without difficulty. It also features a large LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't necessary for most people but it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

It is a relatively small base station that looks great and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does well at picking up the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and doesn't come with a dock that allows you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are alternatives available. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.

The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating heavy materials such as cereal.
