This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best robot vacuum that mops navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuums that mop vacuum for mopping purposes, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which has a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up pet hair. It was able capture some of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some unique features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock that doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning robot mop and vacuum sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxes.
