Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Remote vacuum cleaner Deals

If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now's your chance. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

It removes dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop using your voice.

The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. The Clean Base automatic cleaning robot Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots can't. It did all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you see it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best floor vacuum robot choice is probably hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also come with various additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is simple. It also features a large LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people however it can assist you in keeping the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

Its design and functionality are among the best on the market however it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing point is how it automates many tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Many other robots require this.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac I've tested that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of your home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.

While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price tag.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, simply snap on one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it can be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.

The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials like cereal.
