Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are getting more powerful. They pass our cleaning tests, and are able to handle a variety of flooring. Find models that allow you to select from a variety of modes, and use their charging dock to self-empty and clean the stairs.
Many of the best robot vacuum cleaner and mop models are compatible with smartphones. Find an application that lets you save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross thresholds that are raised without issue. However it had some issues getting down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rug.
Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning robot mop and vacuum solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this can vary based the amount you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a powerful option for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot hoover vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply drag the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.
This robot combo has an easy interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or filled. It also comes with a variety of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily removes most debris and even the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Mopping capabilities are very good and include a pair of mops which lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation when needed. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station as they are required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while avoiding tangled pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically swings out in order to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one room to another without reversing direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a thick distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. It should be easy to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, adjust the suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and more. It is accessible through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to monitor its progress from any location. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it via the app as well as external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of picking up dirt and debris but it's not always able to get every last piece of dust. This is why it's crucial to make use of your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to clean dust from corners, on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is designed to do just that. It is simple to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's cheaper since it doesn't come with mopping capabilities and comes with a plastic body.
Even though it's not able to mop floors, the Q5 has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic hoover empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It has a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning and determine the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling system and washing system for hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested that did not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising as it doesn't contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also has a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums cannot. This device also collects more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often. Additionally, it has washable filters, which reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot vacuum cleaners best - link home - is able to detect carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark areas you would like to keep out of the app.
