Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you need to clean up mess fast, a robot automatic vacuum and mop robot cleaner and mop is the way to go. The best robot vacuums and mops I tested had great mapping and navigation. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as wires that were strung up.
You can also schedule cleaning chores with an app and monitor their progress.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop combination that has cutting-edge features you should look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This top-of-the-line model is quick and agile it can remove debris such as pet hair and human hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking interface that includes a mini map of your home and a few on-screen buttons for manual control.
Another standout characteristic of the S8 is its ability to change its cleaning mode based on the amount of dirt it encounters thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will stop and wash its mopping pad more often when it comes across dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
It has a variety of other innovative features too, including an alternative dock that connects to your plumbing to clean and wash the mop without requiring refilling it manually. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8 it is possible to use voice commands to control room cleaning modes and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for a hands free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's part of a plethora of robot vacuums that mop vacuums with combo features with mops, but is priced at a lower price than many of the competitors.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This involves establishing an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. After that, the robot will begin vacuuming and mopping easily.
It's important to note that the mapping process can take quite a while and may require a few attempts before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. The object detection is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles, but got stuck on a rug with tassels that it had to flip over to get it out of the way. But these are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who want an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping system uses the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubbers. This means that floors are cleaned and not just being swept. The detachable vacuum stick is a game changer that can reach areas where robot hoover vacuums cannot.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa and some additional clever features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home better and offer dynamic obstacle avoidance. And the smart app lets you adjust the settings of your choice, including scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping by having both the robot vacuum as well as the mop returning to their charging base after each task to clean their pads and empty their dust bins and then place the debris in bags that self-seal. This keeps the system clean and stops allergens from circulating. The battery life is long enough to clean large areas without requiring an additional charge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more premium robot vacuum and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for its price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets, and a fantastic obstacle-avoiding. It also features an unique mopping method that utilizes a roller continuously misting with water to capture dirt and then deposit it in the water tank.
Its navigation technology was effective, navigating close to walls without crashing and avoiding stairs. However, it struggled with fine engrained debris and didn't always get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. The operating level of the sound is also quite high, so this model might not be as easy to set and forget as other models.
Like many robotic vacuums and mop cleaners, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that allows you to refill its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes upkeep easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors in an ongoing basis. You can manage all of its functions via the Eufy app, which gives a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot mowers and vacuums available, and it provides an impressive mix of mopping and vacuuming performance. The LIDAR mapping sensors can recognize furniture legs, obstacles, and other obstacles with decent accuracy. The app lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, create no-go zones, and even modify their cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it. This is an issue with a lot of robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM, while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system is equipped with intelligent carpet detectors, which raise the pads when they are near soft surfaces in order to avoid contamination.
The docking station functions as a hands-free maintenance centre that automatically washes and dries the mops, and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station also comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust over 7 weeks of uninterrupted operation, unlike conventional robot vacuums which empty their dust bins each time they have to be emptied.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars less than the S8 This robot does a bang-up job of keeping my office tidy and is able to take on the corners of my cramped apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to create an image of your space and knows which areas to avoid. It has an object/obstacle detector that can avoid things like dog bowls and toys (but not Poop), unlike many vacuums.
Other fantastic features include a self-emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing and adjustable for water temperature, and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also set up cleaning schedules in the app and customize settings for every room in your home.
It comes with the same multi-room smart mapping feature as the S8 and can distinguish between laminate and carpets with high-pile rug. And, if you want to save time, it can even skip mopping in rooms that aren't dirty. It's an excellent option when you have a mix of flooring in your home but don't want to spend the money to buy the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is an excellent choice to consider if you're looking for a versatile robot that can perform regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes. It comes with a variety of features including a self-emptying dustbin as well as an additional water refill dock, as well as adjustable settings in the app. It's quite quiet, and it's able to navigate between furniture legs and socks effortlessly. However, it can't pick up the tangled tassels of rugs, and its battery drains a little quicker than other models in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that provides a powerful suction and convenient automation, all in a sleek and stylish. It didn't score quite as well in our vacuuming and mopping tests as the pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, but it still performed very well overall. It also includes a wide variety of cleaning modes to suit your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' option for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for rooms with carpet. It will even remove and reconnect the mop pads, and not leave your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used even in small spaces. It's very quiet and fast, and it does a good job of getting around tight spots. It also does a excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals, but doesn't sacrifice any features. It has good suction power and can be configured to take photos of each object it picks (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them in the app as 'not located' so that they won't be picked up again during future cleanings. The photos are secure, and are not tied to your account.
It's great at vacuuming, but it's not so great at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bot's bottom, and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
