The great green macaw (Ara ambiguus) is the largest parrot found in Central America and one of the most striking birds in the canopy of the rainforest. The green color of its plumage is accentuated by the red on its forehead, blue on its lower back, and tail feathers. The long pointed wings and tail let it effortlessly move through the forests. Blue and gold macaws a member of the parrots family is a neotropical neotropical bird species native to tropical Central America and South America (especially the varzea habitats) and woodland and savannah environments as well as Trinidad and Tobago.
