The best robot hoover Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgHe evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum cleaners reviews vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and performs well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surface areas. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. These include an energy button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture some of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some nice jingles that let you know when it was starting or finished its work.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the necessity to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it also has unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets caught in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy units.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
