Macaws usually choose a life partner and spend a lot of time together, sharing food, grooming each other and caring for their young. Unfortunately, these majestic birds are teetering near the edge of extinction in their natural habitat.

Great Green Macaw

The magnificent green Macaw (Ara-ambiguus) is among the largest parrots found in Central America. It is also among the most striking and colorful birds that live in the rainforest canopy.
