The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great navigation and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best automatic vacuum and mop navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through an efficient.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one motion. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well however this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and effectively. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean and is also quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surface areas. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will affect how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

The device comes with a expensive price, but has a variety of advanced features. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. This includes a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or just want an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop, which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of the way. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan map that it uses to create a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect some of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some nice jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finishing its work.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a pain when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it has some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. While it was not common, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpg
