The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to take mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It is smaller than other models, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through an efficient.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well, but this is something that you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and effectively. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching a wide range of surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction level and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.
This device has a fairly high price tag but has a variety of advanced features. It is important to remember, however, that the device will incur recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every three month.
This robot vacuum mop cleaner robot that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that includes microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best robot cleaner feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of collecting hair from pets. It was able to capture a large amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few nice jingles that signalled when it was starting or completing its task.
The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the requirement to swap between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, however it also has distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its application.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy models.
