This projector is very good at grayscale OOTB. The most minimal DeltaE error is 2.3 (which can be barely noticed by a trained eye). It also displayed a number of subtle differences in color, such as when Adam hit his light staff into the ground.
Other features include 3D Support Keystone Correction, 3D Support and Automatic Focus. These features simplify installation and setup. It also supports BenQ's standard setup options. However, it doesn't have a lens shift feature nor a vertical focus. It does have an image warping feature that can aid in less-than-ideal installations, but it can impact the image quality.

The GP500 comes with a number of convenience and quality-of-life features, some common, others not as common features, like Keystone and Corner Fit, which digitally warps the image for less than ideal installation, the Toslink audio output jack which turns off the built-in speaker when headphones or a different speaker system is connected, and Bluetooth that allows the GP500 to function wirelessly as a receiver for music. 3D playback is supported as well.
Subjectively, I found that the GP500 was extremely accurate in grayscale OOTB. I measured an DeltaE value of just 2.3, which is less than the amount that is visible to the human eye. This is quite impressive. The Dynamic Contrast function really added depth to Life of Pi's limited night scenes. The color display was fantastic. Avatar was also extremely impressive.
GP500 Black

It comes with the shield locking mechanism to stop it from opening during riding (or in the event of an accident). The rear of the helmet has a double-d-ring fastener that's non-tool-operated.
The auto-focus function worked extremely well and created clear images with a variety of distinct shades. It struggled with the darker scenes in Life of Pi, but it did give a cinematic feel.

The GP500 White has a number of features that enhance the user experience, including Keystone and Corner Fit. Corner Fit is an image warping function that can be used digitally. These features can be helpful in less than ideal installations since they make it simpler to display a flat picture. However, they can reduce the quality of images. This is a critical aspect to take into consideration. The GP500 has a fantastic grayscale performance OOTB, and has produced extremely clear and distinct colors.
