It has plenty to offer at a affordable price, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the cleaning robot mop and vacuum history on the app will show you exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs need to be done including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the most up-to-date version. It's not like the model from last year it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-filling.

The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to remove the mount itself to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuums that mop vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its clever design permits customised and efficient cleaning while saving you time.

It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market however, it comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mop heads, makes use of two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.

The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use.
