Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Look for models that allow you to choose from multiple modes, use their charging docks to self-empty, and clean up stairs.
Many of the best models work with smartphones. Check for an app that lets you save maps, set schedules and select cleaning options.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which comprises flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms, as well as large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving up to walls and even across raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on the flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.
The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock also provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. For this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. You will also need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them becoming clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum cleaner vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than just moving a pad across the surface. The mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station when required.
This robot combination is simple to install and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are two water tanks that are automatically emptied or refilled. It also has a range of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to easily remove dust and debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation abilities are also quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation as required. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender for our best robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure a thorough, customized clean is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other messes. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically swings out in order to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart, navigating tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It can go from one room to another without having to change direction. This is useful for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than other models However, it tends to leave a thick space around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app features a simple and intuitive interface that will be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter the suction power, mop settings and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to monitor its progress from any location. 4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum reviews vacuum does an excellent job of removing debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last piece of dust. It's essential to clean your home regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed to do exactly that. It is easy to connect to your WiFI network at home and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's expensive S-series models. It includes the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
Despite losing the ability to clean your floors, the Q5 still has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an automatic emptying system, so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It also has a clever app that lets you select your floor type and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress, with a 2700Pa capacity to take on pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested did not show issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
