Upgrades to items are a method to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may raise an item's Mark level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. This value is the total of all of its upgraded benefits (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the variety of perks that must be changed in order to upgrade item an item.

It can also be used as a gating requirement while queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can use since PvP is not available at a lower level. The average item level can be found on the character sheet.

When deciding whether to purchase or sell gear, players can compare the level of an item. It's a measure of the item's condition and its quality. Comparing items in a vendor's stock can be done using the item level.

The level of the item can be checked by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are several theories about how the calculation of the item's level is done. One theory states that the level of an item is calculated by a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats actually are. It considers the fact that different perks have different values and gems in sockets increase the item's overall value. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's level, which is typically close to Blizzard's actual item level.

This is not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The level of the area where the item dropped can also change its stats. For example it can increase the item's haste or crit score. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Stats on an item are a significant element in what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to a single weapon and to encourage them to try out other weapons. The stats of a base weapon are increased by the weapon's stat mods that are in turn increased by the player's skill.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a gray or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare tiers will be upgraded several times, at higher costs.

Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could provide the item extra damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing the cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving a special name to the item.

Presently, all affixes are able to be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button using the arrows that circle. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other rerolling methods.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However every item will include at least one stat within that range unless they are an exclusive item or the item is a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be changed by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or choosing which stats to increase. Like the base equipment, this will have to be done per item, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't display all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the probability of obtaining items and the properties that are spawned by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it doesn't directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is particularly advantageous in early game runs because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall chances of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. They can also be increased with the use of anti-materials like a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can be made or spawn using the Luck property, which has an initial value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of an item, up to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be crafted to increase the damage of any ability that is able to deal damage by 5percent. These items can be found in the shops or made using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items can be costly and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade item, or to protect players from losing their item in the event that it does not work.

When you upgrade an item, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..

The success of an item upgrades is also influenced by the luck of that item. Each item has an overall success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases this chance by five percent.

Note that item upgrader kit - forum.ressourcerie.Fr - upgrades are rendered above the items in the inventory therefore enchantment glints and other effects could be masked by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
