World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to increase the level of armor and weapons that can be equipped. This increases the stats of that equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or the rerolling of an affix.

A player can turn an item into another upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button an arrow for reroll. This alters the layout of the item's window and allow players to choose up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with a level 1 item of the same kind. Recycled items won't keep their level, or the resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's level and its quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels of nine, whereas common items are only upgraded up to level six. The upgrades to an item are added to the base statistics of the item upgrader kit which means that they won't increase after a certain amount.
