These companies provide thousands of jobs to the local population. The city is a favored tourist destination that draws more than a million overnight stays each year.

The Hawthorns theatre in the town is renowned internationally for attracting top performers and putting up exciting performances.

In the town's galleries and museums, visitors can learn about local history and culture through various exhibits. The Keith House is an 18th-century mansion that has remained virtually unchanged since its construction. The town also has numerous serene parks, including Lukens Park and the Horsham Power Line Trail.

The town's success was based on industries such as brewing, brickmaking and iron-smelting. The town still has a thriving manufacturing sector, even though some of these industries have ceased to exist. Among these is the Horsham branch of the pharmaceutical company Novartis which was previously part of Ciba-Geigy. The RSPCA has a headquarters in Horsham and so is the British television station ITV.

Today, Horsham is home to numerous independent stores and restaurants as well as a variety of chains, such as the Costa Coffee chain. The town is a favorite among young people and has a large student population. The town is served by several railway stations which include Horsham, Horsham Crawley and Christ's Hospital.

Horsham is the center of Jeremy Quin's electoral constituency that was created in 1983. The town of Horsham is also home to the Bishop of Horsham who is responsible for most of West Sussex and some parishes in parts of East Sussex and Kent.

Bromley

The central library houses a large book stock as well as internet and wifi access and the library's reference section and local studies department. It is run by Greenwich Leisure Limited under the trademark "Better" on behalf of the borough council.
