The best automatic vacuum cleaner robot vacuum cleaners best automatic vacuum cleaner That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to get mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through an efficient.
It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't create the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however, it's something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. These include corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
It's expensive, but has many smart features. It is important to remember that the device will incur recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. These include a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot Vacuums that Mop vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best automatic vacuum feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture a large amount of hair our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some pleasant jingles to let you know that it was in the process of getting its work done.
Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to switch out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive best robot hoover vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some unique features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.
The base has a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
