1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic vacuum cleaner reviews cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

The Q5+ is noticeably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuum cleaner cheap vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tried that does very well at cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price cost.

If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's simple to set up, simply attach one of the side brush, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The primary feature that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30, however is less expensive and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material like cereal.
