The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuum cleaner best vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who want to remove mopping from their list of tasks. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot hoover and mop vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt as well as pet hair and droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to install and works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping it is important to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

This device has a fairly expensive price, but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants to have a clean home without spending hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot vacuum cleaners best has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan map that it uses to draw a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to keep certain areas of your house from being cleaned with mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect a large amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that inform you that it was starting and finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the necessity to switch between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't hold multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot vacuum cleaner that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it has some unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on the child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy models.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
